Park Ridge crash kills one, injures two

PARK RIDGE, IL – A Sunday morning car crash on Oakton Street and Greenwood Avenue in Park Ridge left two injured and one dead. 

WGNTV said the collision happened around 2 am. For some unknown reason, a Jeep SUV slammed into a Lexus sedan. 

According to Park Ridge Police, the Jeep SUV driver, a 21-year-old person, sustained minor injuries. 

The Lexus Sedan driver, a 51-year-old person, suffered life-threatening injuries. 

Police have declined to release the names of the Jeep SUV and Sedan driver. However, they identified the front seat Sedan passenger as Khochaba Malko. 

Malko was pronounced dead at the scene, and another Sedan passenger, a 43-year-old woman, sustained minor injuries. 

No charges were issued, and the crash is under investigation.
