Narrative
LIVINGSTON CO., IL – A 67-year-old woman died Saturday in a two-vehicle crash in south-central Livingston County.
The accident happened shortly before 4:30 p.m. at the intersection of North 2200 East Road and East 600 North Road, which is just south of Fairbury.
Police say that an eastbound Buick Envision collided with a northbound Chevrolet Equinox when the driver of the Buick failed to heed a stop sign.
A passenger in the Chevy, identified as Jerrie L. Enghausen, succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
Medics airlifted the driver of the Chevy to an area hospital with unknown injuries.
The driver of the Buick, identified as Mark Gal, and a child passenger were treated at a local hospital for non-critical injuries.
A full investigation is underway.
