SHELBY COUNTY, IL – A 38-year-old man driving a 2005 Buick Le Sabre die after he collided with an Amtrak train in the area of U.S. Route 45 and County Road 400N. 

This collision took place Wednesday night. The driver, who was identified as Joseph Garrett, succumbed to fatal wounds. 

The events leading up to this crash are under investigation.
