GEORGETOWN, IL – An 80-year-old man driving a pickup truck turned left and collided with a sedan on Illinois 1, resulting in him and two others getting sent to the hospital Monday. This collision took place around 4:30 p.m. near Old Dam Road. The sedan occupants were transported by ground to a medical facility for treatment of minor injuries, while the 80-year-old man (from Georgetown) was airlifted to a hospital for unspecified wounds. Police cited the Georgetown man for failing to wear a seatbelt and, failing to yield, and driving an uninsured vehicle.
