Narrative
CHICAGO, IL – A 15-year-old boy was seriously injured Monday when a vehicle struck him in a crosswalk in south Chicago.
The incident occurred just before 3:20 p.m. in the area of 11200 South Wallace Street, which is near the intersection with 112th Street. This is just east of Christian Fenger Academy High School.
Police say that a black car hit the young boy in the crosswalk and left the scene.
Medics transported the victim to the hospital with serious injuries.
Police are searching for a black Chevrolet Monte Carlo with a sunroof and possible damage to the front right side.
The investigation is ongoing.
