Narrative
Five were hurt, and one life was claimed in a four-vehicle crash on the 3600 block of West Columbus Ave. in Chicago around 9:15 p.m. on Wednesday, March 29th. Police said the driver of Traffic Unit 1 turned left and collided head-on with the driver of Traffic Unit 2. The driver of an SUV then hit the back of Traffic Unit 1. In addition, the driver of Traffic Unit 4 also collided with other vehicles. The driver of Traffic Unit 1 was transported to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where he remains in serious condition. The occupants of Traffic Unit 2 were also taken to Advocate Christ. There one succumbed to fatal injuries, and the other was listed in critical condition. The two occupants of Traffic Unit 3 sustained minor injuries and were taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center. The occupant of Traffic Unit 4 was driven to Little Company of Mary, where he or she is in stable condition.
