Narrative
MOKENA, IL – An 18-year-old woman died Thursday in a two-vehicle accident along the highway in east-central Will County.
The crash occurred at 10:14 p.m. at the intersection of Route 30 and South Owens Road, which is just southeast of Hickory Creek Preserve.
Police say that a westbound Land Rover collided with an eastbound Camaro when the former vehicle failed to yield right of way during a left-hand turn.
A passenger in the Camaro died at the scene. Authorities have not released her name to the public.
Medics transported the driver of the Camaro to the hospital with injuries of unknown severity.
The driver of the Land Rover was not hurt in the accident.
