SOUTH HOLLAND, IL – Three people sustained injuries due to a crash that took place on the 1-294 around 1 am Thursday, ABC7 Chicago reports.
An SUV was coming from Halsted Street to the I-294. For some unknown reason, the driver lost control of the wheel and hit a tollbooth, which caused the vehicle to flip over, Illinois State Police said. The three people who were traveling in that car were able to come out of the SUV shortly before it burst into flames.
The two women and one man were transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center and treated for non-impactful injuries.
